  2. Congrats on winning over at Layla & Kevin's blog :) That's so fun!

We're only 7 months into our remodel. It doesn't seem to be as extensive as yours - no knocking out walls or cabinets - yet, anyway :) We're beginning to make some noticeable progress now. New windows go in next month - that will be **huge**.

I read your post on looking back and being encouraged by the changes you've already made. That is soooo true. That's basically the purpose of our own blog - to document our work on the house and keep our chins up.

    Enjoyed your blog tonight :)

    Congrats, again!

  4. Hi Melissa,
I too found your blog through The Lettered Cottage. I have family that lives in Marion MA. I live in NC, however, and my husband and I are about to begin building our first home. I was completely in love with your cabinets and counter tops... they are beautiful! Would you be willing to tell me the name of the granite and the name of the cabinets? I get so confused when picking stuff out... I know I want a certain look, but sometimes I don't always know how to achieve it. Your girls are precious. I have a 16 month old little boy and I am due in 15 weeks with our second little boy. I'm well on my way to a blog called "Four the Boys" Ha! But for now, our blog is Follow The Stepps! Ok, well thank you for the beautiful kitchen inspiration!

  5. Thank you everyone for stopping by and sharing your stories! I LOVE reading all of these comments. Kelly, our cabinets are Kraftmaid Sonata the finish is canvas with cocoa glaze. We did a lot of research on them as our old ones were completely unsalvageable. I have to say that I love them for the price! The granite is new venetian gold...it hides all of the crumbs!
